About us

Malhar is a Bollywood Hard Rock band from Bangalore, India. The band was formed when a group of melomaniacs crossed paths with each other and decided to stick together for their shared passion towards the craft. The band's sound is inspired by genres like Alternate Rock, Punk, Blues Rock and Bollywood Fusion. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses hard hitting grooves, wailing guitars and soulful vocals with high energy performance and a versatile set that will definitely make you want to stomp your feet.

Badal Kashyap - Vocals

Badal Kashyap is a singer, songwriter and performer who's music has influences from genres like Rock, Punk, Soul, Classic Rock, Pop, Grunge, Indie and Indie Rock.

Apart from being an on stage performer, he has been writing and composing songs since he was 17. Currently he's working on releasing his music.He has an on-stage experience of over 10 years as part of multiple projects and line ups. He is also a travelling musician who has performed in various tourist destinations covering Goa, Gokarna, Coorg, Wayanad, Lonavala and others.

Hirutpal - Guitars

With over 16 years of playing the Guitar and 6+ years of pro - experience as a musician, Hirutpal has performed in multiple venues , worked as a composer , session artist , performed in festivals, been the front man of a band and what not. His most recent work includes recording the guitars for the song “Shaamat” by Ankit Tiwari in the movie “Ek Villain Returns”.;

Roshan Thapa - Bass

Roshan is a bassplayer who loves exploring new music and artists/bands, he is a music lover and loves exploring the possibilities of music through his instrument, bass, with an experience of over 10 years of bass playing he is making the world dance to his groovy bass lines.

Sujay Hazra - Drums

Sujay Hazra is an accomplished drummer based in Bangalore, India, known for his multi-genre expertise. With over five years of professional experience, Sujay has been a driving force in several prominent bands, including 'ROFO,' 'Mudrarakshas,' 'The Holy Thrills,' '7isthmi,' and 'The Reverse Effect'.His extensive career also includes stints as the former drummer of the popular experimental metal outfit 'Trash Talk' and the folk rock ensemble '22past4'.

His versatile drumming spans various genres, from Bollywood to rock, metal, jazz, and more. Beyond his stellar performance career, Sujay actively supports local metal acts through 'Catharsis,' a gig series he founded, providing a platform for emerging artists to showcase their music.
